Along with making new friends who have the same interests you do, membership provides opportunities to improve your skills, compete, test, participate in community service activities and just have fun while bonding with your fellow skaters. Become part of the fun and take advantage of on-ice clinics, off-ice conditioning, and much, much more.

 
 

 Annual Membership Levels

The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30.

 

Aspire Academy

Full membership benefits for individuals who have not belonged to a USFS club.

Introductory

Full membership benefits for individuals who do not/has not belonged to a USFS club. Valid for one year.

$90.00

First Family Full Member

Full membership benefits for individuals who are the first family member to register for a full membership.

$150.00

Subsequent

Full

Full membership benefits for a second (or subsequent) skating family member residing at the same address as a first family member.

$120.00

 

Collegiate

Full Member

Full membership benefits for any skater attending college. Valid for 4 years and does not need renewing during that period.

Coach

Available to Coaches only who wish to join the Gate City FSC.

$60.00

Non-Skating

Available to parents and/or board members who wish to join the Gate City FSC.

$60.00

Non-Representing

For skaters who representing a different USFS club, but wish to participate in GCFSC events.

 Membership Benefits

The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30.


  • Full skating members are able to attend club parties, skate a solo or small group number in the Holiday Show, Spring Show, and attend the Annual Skating Banquet at the member rate (additional fees may apply). 

  • Aspire Members enjoy the benefits of a full membership with the exception of not being able to participate in any club specialty clinics/workshops (unless otherwise noted) and are not able to participate in the Spring Show opening number. Learn More

  • Members who have passed their tests receive USFS pins and recognition at the banquet. 

  • Members have priority when signing up for test sessions sponsored by the club.

  • Members receive a $1.00 discount rate for each contracted Freestyle Ice session (first come first serve). If you skate two sessions a week, that discount nearly pays for the cost of club membership! 

  • Members have priority when registering for special off- and on-ice training seminars or classes sponsored by the club. 

  • Members 11 years old and up may join the Junior Activities Committee which helps at club events and plans and carries out community service activities.

  • Representing members who have passed their Intermediate Freestyle test are eligible to skate a solo in the annual spring show.

  • Club membership includes membership in US Figure Skating and a subscription to SKATING magazine.

  • The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30.
